Hi gang!
Just checking in from the Phoenix area.
My cleanse journey has been interesting from a few different fronts.
As I have already shared, I had been concerned about traveling while on this cleanse.
It has been quite challenging at times, and right now I am just craving my smoothies in the morning, where I could put fruit, vegetables and nuts together in one glass, and feel the stability in my blood sugar for a solid 4 hours at a time. During this time, I have had to segment my food combining, and reach for fruit and nuts, without the veggies, and it definitely has impacted my blood sugar. I have been hungry for the past few days, and my body is adjusting to this change.
I am happy to say that the caffeine is now well out of my thought process, and that I have clarity and energy throughout the day and evening. We are working on a schedule here that has us busy from 8am-10pm each day. I am amazed at how my energy holds each day, with this rigorous schedule.
I do hope you enjoyed your class with Mari Anne yesterday. I will look forward to seeing you next Wednesday to get back into the EVOLVE loop!
Please share.....
Great to hear from you Julie!! You are a rock star for being able to continue the cleanse process in any way shape or form while you are so far from home. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteI thought I would share a bit of success from my corner of the world. Good friends of ours gave us tickets to the Joe Bonamassa concert tonight. We got together with them and 2 other couples, one of whom was staying at the Marriot not far from the State Theatre. They invited us all up to have hors d'oevres and cocktails in their hotel room before the concert. This was a huge challenge but I was successful! I ate my sensible cleanse authorized food at home and then just snacked on grapes at the hotel and had water to drink the whole night.
It sure was tempting to cheat but I knew that I had invested 100% into this cleanse so far and I kept thinking about how good I would feel about myself if I delayed that gratification for 11 more days. We have another concert next week but I know that I don't need those 5 ingredients to have a great time. In fact, it almost seems like it bothers other people more than me.
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the feeling of accomplishment!

Wonderful experience for you Kym! I also had the feeling that this cleanse concept bothered some of the other folks that I have been training with. Although it has been somewhat inconvenient to find appropriate food selections while on the road, it has been achievable. Even last night, while dining with our group of 13 at Buca, and as the gigantic plates of spaghetti and meatballs and Saltimbocca and short ribs and bread were being passed around, I was easily able to stick with our cleanse protocol.
ReplyDeleteAnd... I feel GREAT and clear!
